In response to the growing demand for skilled professionals in the electricity sector, MEC is proud to announce the launch of an intensive training program tailored specifically for new engineers. This comprehensive initiative, conducted by a Senior Expert from Tetra Tech under the Supplemental Management & Operations Project (SMO), aims to equip aspiring engineers with the essential knowledge and practical skills necessary to excel in the dynamic field of electricity.
Designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world applications, the training program offers a rigorous curriculum that covers a wide range of topics, including electrical systems, distribution networks, renewable energy technologies, and metering. Led by industry veterans with years of experience, participants will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning, interactive workshops, and immersive simulations.
“Our intensive training program, conducted by the Tetra Tech Senior Expert under SMO, is specifically crafted to empower the next generation of engineers with the expertise needed to address the complex challenges facing the electricity industry,” said Jack Chong Gum, CEO of MEC. “By providing practical training and mentorship, we aim to cultivate a talented workforce capable of driving innovation and fostering positive change in the energy sector.”
This initiative underscores MEC’s commitment to advancing the skills and capabilities of emerging engineers, ensuring a robust pipeline of talent ready to lead the industry into the future. All of us at MEC extend our deepest gratitude to the Asian Development Bank for their substantial contribution, which has been instrumental in bringing this vital program to life.
